Sergio Garcia admits that he has no plans to seek a reconciliation with Tiger Woods after their row during this month's Players Championship.

Sergio Garcia has declared that he has no intention of contacting Tiger Woods to make peace after their public spat at the Players Championship earlier this month.

Woods angered the Spaniard after pulling a club from his bag just as Garcia was about to take his shot at Sawgrass, causing noise from the crowd that put his opponent off.

The 33-year-old has admitted that he is not surprised to hear that Woods has no plans to make contact to discuss the incident and himself has no desire to seek a reconciliation either.

He told the Daily Mail: "We have not spoken and I don't really have any plans to [contact him]. Obviously he is not going to say sorry, which I can understand coming from him.

"It wasn't my fault. I am not the one who should go to him. I don't care who he is. It doesn't matter if it is Tiger Woods or Luke Donald, who is my best friend on tour. If I have done something wrong I will go up and say, 'Sorry, I hope it is OK and that we can move on'.

"But if I am not the one who did the thing then I am not going to go up and say, sorry for you doing that thing to me. That's nonsense. I don't need it, an apology. We are fellow professionals, but we've never really been friends so like I said, I don't need him in my life to be happy. I can live with him being on his side and me being on mine so it doesn't bother me."

Garcia will be in action in England this week as part of a star-studded field contesting the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
