Luke Donald has made a strong start at the Tour Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Englishman hit a four-under-par 66 to share second place, two shots behind leader Keegan Bradley.

Donald is amongst a handful of players who have a chance of claiming the FedEx Cup and the $10m (£6.4m) top prize.

This is the final event of the season in which players can pick up points to win the Cup. The competitor who has accumulated the most points over the season will win the richest tournament in the sporting calendar.

Donald's fellow countryman Justin Rose also has a shot at the title, and he finished the first round with a one-under 69 to share fifth place.

Matt Kuchar, another player who could claim the Cup, ended with a share of third place on three-under, while Dustin Johnson was level after the first day's play.
