PGA Tour player of the year Luke Donald has admitted that he needs to win a major championship before he can be regarded as a great player.
The Englishman picked up a money list double at the weekend when he finished top of the European Tour's Race to Dubai standing, in addition to securing the US PGA Tour's money list.
"I think there will always be a little bit of an asterisk against my name until I win one, but I'll be trying hard to correct that," Donald told Sky Sports News.
"Obviously something that is missing from my resume is a major and it's something I'll continue to concentrate on trying to focus my efforts on, giving it my best shot."
Donald will take part in the Australian masters this week in Melbourne.
