Luke Donald has revealed his disappointment over the way that he performed at this year's Masters.
The former world number one capped a poor showing by finishing four-over-par in Augusta as America Bubba Watson claimed the coveted green jacket.
"[The Masters] was disappointing, I felt so prepared, more prepared than I've ever felt, going into Augusta - and not playing up to my full potential was disappointing," said Donald. "But all these things you learn from, you get more and more experienced, and I think my time will come.
"There's very fine lines between having a great year like I had last year, and not being quite as consistent."
Donald was recently knocked off the top of the rankings by Rory McIlroy after he finished outside of the top eight at the RBC Heritage in South Carolina.
