Luke Donald has said that he is disappointed to have ruined a good start in the Tampa Bay Championship.
The world number three built his opening round to four-under par at the Copperhead Course, but three bogeys on the closing four holes saw him sign for a 70.
The 35-year-old, who is defending champion this week, said that he played "solid" golf for 15 holes, but let himself down on the last four holes.
"At one point I felt I should have been five or six-under," ESPN quotes Donald as saying.
"To walk off with a 70 and play like that is hard to take. It was shame to cough up a couple of shots.
"Fifteen of those holes, I played really solid golf."
Shawn Stefani leads the way in Florida on six-under-par.
