Luke Donald says that Wentworth suits his game as he prepares to defend his BMW PGA Championship title.

Luke Donald believes that changes to the course at Wentworth four years ago have helped him to win the BMW Championship two years running.

The 35-year-old is bidding to become the second player to win the title three consecutive years when he tees off later today alongside Spanish duo Sergio Garcia and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano.

He said that the West Course is one that must be plotted with precision, which suits his game perfectly.

"It's very much a positional golf course," Donald told Sky Sports News. "It's all about strategy, you must know where to miss in the right place. And I've also putted really well here the last two years.

"Since the changes here [in 2009], the course seems to have really suited my game and I feel very comfortable around this place, so hopefully more of the same this year."

Colin Montgomerie won the European Tour's premier event in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
