Jason Day has won the Farmers Insurance Open following a four-man playoff at Torrey Pines.
The Australian clinched par on the second extra hole to claim victory and score a three-under-par 70 to finish one shot ahead American JB Holmes.
Day and Holmes each made birdies on the 18th in the playoff, while Scott Stallings and Harris English were eliminated after they could only make pars.
On the second extra hole Holmes went over the green, chipped to 15 feet and missed his putt for par. Day found the green with a five iron chip then sank his putt to make par and secure victory.
Scotland's Martin Laird and Ireland's Shane Lowry finished joint seventh on seven-under-par.
Day's third PGA Tour victory moves him up to fourth in the world rankings.
