Henrik Stenson has been revealed as Europe's captain for the 2023 Ryder Cup.
The 45-year-old has previously represented the team as a player on five occasions, most recently in 2018 when Europe prevailed in Paris.
According to reports, the likes of Lee Westwood, Robert Karlsson and Luke Donald were in the running to skipper the team for next year's event in Rome.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that Stenson, the winner of The Open in 2016, had been given the nod.
