Ryder Cup roundup: Final four singles matches

The four remaining singles matches of this year's Ryder Cup conclude, with Europe winning through 16.5-11.5.

The 40th Ryder Cup has ended in a 16.5-11.5 victory for Paul McGinley's European side.

The Samuel Ryder trophy was retained earlier today by Jamie Donaldson when he recorded a 4&3 win over Keegan Bradley.

However, after the Welshman's triumph, the outcome of four matches remained undecided.

The first to conclude was Sergio Garcia's clash with veteran American Jim Furyk, which the Spaniard came out on top of 1 Up. The visitors halted Europe's winning run, though, as Webb Simpson halved his contest with Ian Poulter.

Elsewhere, Lee Westwood, who formed a profitable partnership with Donaldson earlier in the tournament, was routinely beaten 3&2 by rookie Jimmy Walker.

Last to finish was Frenchman Victor Dubuisson, who ensured that he would go unbeaten for the entire weekend courtesy of his halved encounter with Zach Johnson.
