Formula 1 heading to Morocco?

Morocco could reportedly become the latest country to join the Formula 1 calendar.

Morocco has reportedly been identified as a possible location for a Grand Prix on the Formula 1 calendar.

According to Bild, F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone was seen during the recent Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with the King of Morocco, sparking rumours of a future race in the North African country.

Excluding Antarctica, Africa is the only continent to not play host to motorsport's most glamourous event.

Morocco has hosted F1 before when a race took place near Casablanca in 1958.
