Lewis Hamilton claims pole at Chinese Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton qualifies for the Chinese Grand Prix in pole position, edging out Red Bull duo Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel.

The 29-year-old's Mercedes was fastest in all three qualifying sessions on a very rainy Saturday in Shanghai, as the team secured their fourth consecutive pole.

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo will start alongside Hamilton on the front of the grid, while Sebastian Vettel will be third.

Nico Rosberg, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Williams duo Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas complete the top seven.

Nico Hulkenberg, Jean-Eric Vergne and Romain Grosjean will start eighth, ninth and 10th respectively.
