Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is feeling positive ahead of this Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix after topping the timesheets in both practice sessions on Friday.
The reigning Formula 1 world champion finished above teammate Nico Rosberg in the first session.
The Brit continued to dominate by finishing four tenths faster than Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen in the second practice of the day.
All eyes will be on Mercedes's response to Sebastian Vettel's victory for Ferrari in the Malaysian Grand Prix a fortnight ago.
"I got to do the whole session so I'm happy," Hamilton told BBC Radio 5 live. "Generally the car was feeling good and it was nice to get the running and the preparations.
"Hopefully that will stand me in good stead. The Ferraris look like they were as quick as they were in Malaysia, but hopefully we're quicker."
Hamilton has a three-point lead over Vettel in the driver rankings after two races.
