Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton has topped the timesheet in the second practice of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, despite an abrupt end to the session.
Sebastian Vettel was delayed out onto the track due to brake issues in his Red Bull, while Valtteri Bottas replaced Susie Wolff in the Williams after the team failed to record any data from the first session.
The windy conditions at Silverstone proved to cause some of the drivers problems as they tried to hit the apex following Stowe corner but suffered issues with stability.
Hamilton was forced to stop out on the circuit due to reported oil issues with his car around 30 minutes before the end of the session, while both Marcus Ericsson and Jean-Eric Vergne were forced to retire.
