McLaren driver Jenson Button has told his team that they must be willing to take risks if they are to secure a podium finish this season.
Neither the Brit nor his teammate Sergio Perez has yet managed to finish in the top three of a race, and came seventh and eighth respectively in the Singapore Grand Prix.
"It's all about taking chances, we thought we had the chance of a podium," Button told reporters.
"It was was good fun trying though and we have to take risks if we want to get podium finishes this year."
Button sits ninth in the Drivers' Championship with 54 points.
