Brazilian driver Felipe Massa has ended speculation regarding his future by signing a one-year contract extension with Ferrari.
The 31-year-old had been linked with a move away from the Italian-based team in recent weeks, with world champion Sebastian Vettel said to be lined up as Massa's replacement.
However, the new deal means that he will compete alongside Spaniard Fernando Alonso for another season at least.
"The Scuderia's driver lineup for next year is therefore made up of Fernando Alonso and the aforementioned Felipe Massa," read a statement from Ferrari.
Massa joined Ferrari from Sauber in 2006.
