Ferrari are reportedly considering whether to launch a protest against an overtaking move made by Sebastian Vettel in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.
Vettel claimed a third successive world championship after finishing seventh in Brazil, just three points ahead of Fernando Alonso in the overall standings.
The Italian team are thought to be evaluating footage which appears to show Vettel passing Toro Rosso's Jean Eric-Vergne in a yellow caution zone, according to BBC Sport.
A caution zone is marked with yellow flags and flashing trackside yellow lights, indicating that drivers must proceed with caution and overtaking is strictly forbidden.
If Vettel is found guilty of an offence the German could have 20 seconds added to his race time, which would hand Alonso the title by a single point.
Red Bull and governing body the FIA have refused to comment at this stage.
