Rochdale triumph over Wycombe Wanderers - DUPLICATE

Goals from Jamie Allen and Peter Vincenti give Rochdale victory in their League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon.

Goals from Jamie Allen and Peter Vincenti have given Rochdale victory in their League Two match against Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon.

Reece Styche came close for Wycombe early on when he turned his man and fired an effort at the post.

The hosts were again denied by the woodwork minutes later through Max Kretzschmar's drive when he broke through the Rochdale defence.

Kretzschmar then saw his free kick go wide for the hosts just before the break.

After the restart, Allen volleyed in to put the visitors in front following good play from Sam Wood.

The goal was only Rochdale's second meaningful effort of the game, but it gave them confidence and Michael Rose had a chip tipped over by Wycombe keeper Matt Ingram.

They then doubled their advantage when Vincenti turned home after a scramble from a corner.

Ingram had saved from Olly Lancashire in the first instance but the ball wasn't cleared and Vincenti pounced.
