Sevilla are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Romain Saiss, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Romain Saiss has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Sevilla.

Saiss, who is in his sixth campaign at Molineux, has been given a new lease of life under Bruno Lage, the 31-year-old establishing himself as a key part of the club's three-man backline.

However, while the 31-year-old has made 21 starts in the Premier League this season, he has just four-and-a-half months remaining on his contract.

According to Hespress, that could open the door for Sevilla, who have allegedly identified Saiss as a possible addition ahead of next season.

The report claims that sporting director Monchi may look to bring in Saiss as a replacement for one of Jules Kounde or Diego Carlos.

While it is suggested that Saiss may be happy to take on a new challenge at the end of his existing deal, it would come as a surprise if Wolves do not attempt to agree fresh terms with a player who has made 198 appearances in all competitions.

Three of Saiss's teammates with Morocco - Bono, Munir El Haddadi and Youssef En-Nesyri - are already at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
