Result: Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

Debutant Emmanuel Adebayor helps Spurs gain their first points of the season as they end Wolves' unbeaten start to the season at Molineux.

Tottenham Hotspur have secured their first points of the season by defeating Wolves 2-0 at Molineux.

Debutant Emmanuel Adebayor, who also scored on his Arsenal and Manchester City debuts, put Spurs ahead midway through the second half.

He collected fellow newcomer Scott Parker's through ball before rounding Wayne Hennessey and slotting into an empty net.

Jermain Defoe doubled the lead after exchanging passes with Niko Kranjcar before firing into the bottom corner.

Spurs now move up to 13th in the league while Wolves, suffering their first league defeat of the season, drop to sixth on seven points.
