Nikica Jelavic has what looks like a fair goal ruled out for offside in the opening half as Everton and Wolves play out a tame goalless draw.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton played out a lacklustre goalless draw at Molineux this afternoon.

Everton began well as they looked to strengthen their grip on seventh place in the Premier League but it was Wolves who had the first real chance as Christophe Berra headed over a Stephen Hunt delivery.

Steven Pienaar then blazed over after going through on goal before Everton thought they'd taken the lead.

In-form forward Nikica Jelavic tucked home as the flag was raised for offside but replays indicate that the Croatian may have been just level with Ronald Zubar.

Early on after the break Marouane Fellaini headed Tony Hibbert's cross just over the bar as the Toffees searched for an opener.

The remaining minutes were played out in a leisurely manner as already-relegated Wolves played their final Premier League match in front of their own fans.

A point for David Moyes's men puts them four points clear of Liverpool in the table.
