Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage has seemingly confirmed that Raul Jimenez will be able to play against Watford on Saturday afternoon.
The Mexico striker was prevented from linking up with his national team over the September break due to its status as a red list country, which sparked fears that a FIFA-imposed sanction could come into play.
Several Premier League clubs have seen their Brazilian players ruled out of this weekend's fixtures, but Lage has appeared to confirm that Jimenez has been given the green light to play at Vicarage Road.
"We think we can use Raul because the game is about putting the best players on the pitch. The best players from both sides should be on the pitch. I am very thankful for the decision," Lage was quoted as saying by the Express & Star.
Jimenez has played every minute of the 2021-22 Premier League season so far, but the 30-year-old is still waiting for his first top-flight goal since October 2020 following his sickening skull fracture.
