Kenny Jackett: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers lacked ideas'

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett admits that his team struggled up front during their 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic in the Championship.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has admitted that his team lacked ideas during their goalless draw with Charlton Athletic.

Wolves saw their four-game winning run come to an end at Molineux on Saturday as they were held by the Addicks in the Championship.

Despite praising his side's defensive performance, Jackett believes that a struggle for inspiration in the final third was to blame for the result.

"We are disappointed," he is quoted as saying by Birmingham Mail. "I felt we didn't do enough to break Charlton down, particularly in the final third when we ran out of ideas too many times.

"The attitude and the commitment of the players was very good. Our defending, in the second half particularly, when the counter-attack looked on for Charlton, was very good. Our centre-backs were very diligent, but ultimately going into the final third we didn't do enough with the ball."

Wolves are now in seventh place in the Championship table, three points adrift of the playoff positions.
