Kenny Jackett: 'George Saville to remain at Bristol City'

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett reveals that midfielder George Saville is unlikely to be recalled from Bristol City before the end of the season.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett believes that it is up to midfielder George Saville to work his way back into the starting lineup at Bristol City.

Saville has made just one appearance for the League One side since February 1, but Jackett, who hasn't selected the former Chelsea trainee since November, has ruled out a return for the 21-year-old in the near future.

The 53-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "It's something we've considered but, at the moment, we're going to leave it where it is. We want to call him back when we need him to go into the team.

"With Price, Evans and Saville, I'm looking at three young midfielders that all have a really strong future. At the moment, I'm selecting McDonald and Edwards. I felt we needed experience there but it's good we've got young players behind them ready to come through.

"George started off very well at Bristol. In recent games, he hasn't been playing, as Steve Cotterill's gone back to tried-and-trusted partnerships. It's up to George now to fight his way back into the team."

Saville has made just seven appearances for Wolves since joining the club during the summer.
