Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage plays down comparisons between South Korean compatriots Hwang Hee-chan and Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage has affirmed that he does not want to compare Hwang Hee-chan to fellow South Korea international Son Heung-min.

Hwang arrived at Molineux on loan from RB Leipzig this summer and has made a fast start to life in England, netting on his Premier League debut in last weekend's victory over Watford.

The 25-year-old attacker has inevitably drawn comparisons to Tottenham Hotspur's Son - who boasts 72 goals from 200 Premier League games - but Lage does not want to be drawn into a debate over the two compatriots.

When asked by reporters about a possible comparison, Lage responded: "I don't like to do that. Son has already proved what a big player he is. Hwang did very well in Austria but not too many chances in Germany. He has started very well (for us)."

Hwang will aim to displace either Francisco Trincao or Adama Traore for Saturday's game against Brentford, where Wolves will go in search of their first home win of the season.

Lage was also asked about Raul Jimenez's goal drought during his pre-match press conference, but the Wolves boss insisted that he is not concerned about the Mexican's record so far.
