Alfred N'Diaye: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers capable of beating Manchester City'

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Alfred N'Diaye says that the Championship outfit are capable of beating Manchester City in the EFL Cup.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Alfred N'Diaye has claimed that the Championship outfit can defeat Manchester City in the EFL Cup, providing that he and his teammates show "a good attitude".

On Tuesday night, the leaders of the Premier League and Championship lock horns at the Etihad Stadium, with both Pep Guardiola and Nuno Espirito Santo expected to make mass changes to their respective starting lineups.

City are the clear favourites to prevail in the North-West after recording 10 victories in a row in all competitions, but N'Diaye has insisted that Wolves are capable of causing a surprise.

The 27-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "If we go with a good attitude we can win. We're 11, they're 11, we can win.

"Every game we try to win. We're not going there to lose – if so we stay at home. It's one of the best teams in Europe. We have to be strong, play together, fighting and do our best. If not they'll win for sure because it's a very good team."

N'Diaye has made three starts and five substitute outings in all competitions since moving to Molineux on loan from Villarreal.
