Wigan Athletic complete Andy Delort capture

Andy Delort joins Wigan Athletic from French club Tours despite late interest shown by Wolverhampton Wanderers for the striker's services.

Tours striker Andy Delort has this afternoon completed his move to Wigan Athletic.

The 22-year-old, who was presented to Latics supporters before Saturday's game against Birmingham City, was the subject of a late bid from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A short statement on the French club's website read: "President Jean Marc Ettori and the club would like to thank Andy from the bottom of their heart for everything he has brought to the club last season."

Delort was the top scorer in Ligue 2 last season with 24 goals.
