Preview: Huddersfield Town vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole looks ahead to Tuesday's match between Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

Huddersfield Town have won just once in the Championship this season, and will be looking for their second victory when they host Wigan Athletic on Tuesday.

Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough ensured that the club made a losing start under newly-appointed manager Chris Powell.

The Terriers are likely to be missing often-injured striker James Vaughan after he was forced off after just 27 minutes following a collision with Boro keeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Wigan's recent good run came to an end with a 3-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday which left them 16th in the table.

While new signings Williams Kvist and Andy Delort started at the weekend, Adam Forshaw played just 10 minutes off the bench.

Uwe Rosler has no fresh injuries to worry about, while James McClean is close to returning to action, having been back in training for a couple of weeks.

In this fixture last season, Huddersfield secured a 1-0 win.
