Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is delighted for Franco Di Santo following the striker's first call-up to the Argentina squad.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that he is delighted for Franco Di Santo following the striker's inclusion in the latest Argentina squad.

The 23-year-old received his first call-up on Thursday for the friendly against Saudi Arabia on November 14.

"To get an Argentina cap is a huge achievement," said Martinez. "We should never forget the players that he's going to have in that squad. For us it's a great feeling of pride. We're all very, very proud of what Franco has achieved."

Di Santo has scored three goals in eight appearances for the Latics this season.
