Wigan Athletic's Franco Di Santo nearing '100% fitness'

Wigan Athletic striker Franco Di Santo says that he is working hard to be fully fit for the return of the Premier League next weekend.

Wigan Athletic striker Franco Di Santo has revealed that he should recover from his calf injury in time for next weekend.

The 23-year-old has been struggling to ease back into the Premier League after picking up a problem during the Latics' 4-0 defeat to Manchester United last month.

"I am nearly back to 100% and hopefully by the end of this international break I'll be back to where I was," Di Santo told the Wigan Evening Post.

"This break is a good opportunity for everyone to work on their fitness as well as skills, and I don't think I am far away from where I want to be."

Wigan take on Swansea City next weekend.
