Roberto Martinez is refusing to be drawn on speculation linking him with Aston Villa.

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is remaining coy on possibly becoming Aston Villa's new manager.

Martinez turned down the same job last summer and is now being linked with the role again following Alex McLeish's sacking on Monday.

The Latics chief once again saved the club from relegation to the Championship late in the season and is playing down talk of him swapping the DW Stadium for Villa Park.

"There's not a decision to be made. I'm under contract and at the moment there's nothing else other than preparing for next season and making sure we grow season after season. There's nothing to discuss," Martinez told Sky Sports News.

"When there is speculation about players and managers it is because you've done something well. We've done something well and there's speculation, but it's nothing more than that."

Marinez took over at Wigan after leaving Swansea City in June 2009.
