Wigan Athletic boss Gary Caldwell has said that he hopes to get an improved set of results from his side after the end of the transfer window.
After relegation to League One, the Latics have won just two of their opening five matches, and after adding three more signings to his newly-assembled squad on deadline day, Caldwell has insisted that his team will move up the standings.
The 33-year-old told BBC Radio Manchester: "The transfer window shutting helps. I feel comfortable with the group of players we have got in terms of the spirit and application, and now we have to put into them how we want them to play and the way we can win games."
Wigan travel to Chesterfield on Saturday afternoon.
