West Ham United will swoop for Honduras international Maynor Figueroa when his contract at Wigan Athletic expires at the end of the season, according to a report.

West Ham United are reportedly looking to sign Wigan Athletic defender Maynor Figueroa at the end of the season.

The Honduras international is out of contract with the Latics this summer and the Hammers are set to swoop.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce feels that the 30-year-old is the perfect candidate to fill the void his side have had at left-back this season and will offer him wages in the region of £40,000 per week, according to The People.

Figueroa missed Wigan's FA Cup final win over Manchester City due to injury.
