West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has lined up a reunion with Roma ace Edin Dzeko, according to a report.
The Hammers could do with a new goalscorer as Marko Arnautovic upset supporters and the club hierarchy by trying to force through a January exit.
Arnautovic has gone off the boil since then, failing to score in any of his last eight matches, and he is expected to be granted his wish of a Far East move when the transfer window reopens.
Pellegrini is said to have made clear to his bosses that he wants Dzeko, who he worked with at Manchester City, to be brought on board as a replacement.
The Express claims that United have already missed out on the Bosnia international once this year, but they are now prepared to pay him £165,000 a week over the next two seasons, which they hope will be enough to secure his signature.
Dzeko came close to a Premier League return in January 2018, only to turn down interest from West Ham's London rivals Chelsea late in the window.
