West Ham United have reportedly moved closer to winning the race to sign Toulouse defender Issa Diop.
Since the end of the season, a number of teams in the Premier League have been linked with Diop, who is skipper of France's Under-23 side.
However, according to Sky Sports News, it appears that West Ham are likely to secure a deal for the 21-year-old for a fee in the region of £22m.
Diop has spent the last three seasons in the Toulouse first team, with a total of six goals being scored from 85 appearances in the league.
Toulouse narrowly avoided relegation to the second tier during the most recent campaign, but the French club have seemingly decided to cash in on their biggest asset.
