Kevin Nolan eager for West Ham United response

West Ham captain Kevin Nolan calls on his teammates to forget about their recent defeat to Everton and start another unbeaten run.

West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan has urged his team to respond quickly to Saturday's defeat at Everton.

The Hammers saw their five-game unbeaten run in the Premier League ended at Goodison Park as they lost 2-1 to the Merseysiders.

Nolan now hopes that West Ham can start another run this Saturday when they welcome his former club Newcastle United to Upton Park.

"Hopefully we'll start picking up wins again and go on another little run," the midfielder told the club's official website. "We need to start another unbeaten run.

"It's two draws and a loss in the last three games and we got a point at Stoke, should have got three against Villa, and should have got at least a point at Everton. That's three points dropped in the last three weeks, so we're disappointed but we'll put that behind us."

Newcastle make the trip to East London this weekend having won their last five Premier League games.
