West Ham United's Angelo Ogbonna out for three weeks with hamstring injury

West Ham United confirm that Angelo Ogbonna will miss the next three weeks of action with a hamstring injury.

West Ham United have confirmed that Angelo Ogbonna will miss the next three weeks of action with a hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old defender suffered the problem during the Hammers' 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Monday.

"Angelo underwent a scan on his injured left leg on Wednesday and we have received the results," head of medical and sports science Stijn Vandenbroucke told the club's official website. "The injury is not too bad and we hope he will be back in action within three weeks."

Ogbonna moved to Upton Park from Juventus in the summer.
