Team News: Winston Reid misses out for West Ham United

Injured defender Winston Reid joins suspended duo Diafra Sakho and Dimitri Payet in missing West Ham United's Europa League second-round qualifier against Birkirkara.

West Ham United have named a strong starting lineup for this evening's crunch Europa League qualifier against Birkirkara.

The Hammers take a 1-0 lead into the second qualification-round tie thanks to James Tomkins's late goal in last week's first leg.

Diafra Sakho and Dimitri Payet are both absent for the trip to Malta due to suspension, while centre-back Winston Reid drops out through a minor injury.

In terms of the home side, who have never previously reached the Europa League proper, they make one change to their lineup from last time out - new signing Marcelina being brought in to replace Edin Murga.

Birkirkara XI: Haber, Z.Muscat, Marcelina, Vukanac, Mazzetti, Fenech, Camenzuli, Zerafa, R. Muscat, Liliu, Miccoli
Subs: Akpan, Sciberras, Agius, Plut, Zerafa, Murga, Zammit

West Ham United XI: Adrian, O'Brien, Tomkins, Collins, Cresswell, Kouyate, Noble, Nolan, Jarvis, Amalfitano, Zarate
Subs: Randolph, Hendrie, Pike, Poyet, Samuelsen, Maiga
