Chris Wood in line for new loan

West Brom striker Chris Wood is reportedly in line for a fresh loan switch to Portsmouth.

West Bromwich Albion striker Chris Wood is reportedly in line for a fresh loan switch to Portsmouth.

The 20-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan at Birmingham, where he scored 11 goals.

He decided not to extend the loan deal as a result of getting few starts despite his large goal tally.

Wood is now linked with a move to Portsmouth, as new Fratton Park boss Michael Appleton had a good relationship with Wood while managing West Brom's reserves.

Portsmouth are currently 17th in the Championship.
