Chris Brunt hints at West Bromwich Albion exit

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt fuels speculation regarding his future at The Hawthorns by admitting his unhappiness at falling out of favour.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Chris Brunt has hinted that his future may not lie at The Hawthorns after admitting his frustration at falling out of favour under manager Steve Clarke.

The Northern Ireland international, whose current deal expires next summer, has found himself on the fringes of the Baggies' first team as of late, with the 28-year-old afforded just three Premier League starts all season.

"It's difficult because for nearly 10 years as a pro, I've been a regular wherever I've been. This year, I've had time on the sidelines watching the games and it's been frustrating," he told Sky Sports News.

"As a footballer, you want to play every game because you think you can add something. But you have to respect the head coach's decision.

"I want to play every game, but sometimes it's just not possible. Over the last few months, I've experienced that."

The former Sheffield Wednesday ace arrived at the club from the Owls in 2007, where he made over 250 first-team appearances for the club.
