West Bromwich Albion have reportedly held talks with former Inter Milan boss Claudio Ranieri as they search for a replacement for England manager Roy Hodgson.
The club's sporting and technical director, Dan Asworth, held talks with the Italian last week, according to The Birmingham Mail.
Ranieri, who has also coached Chelsea, left Inter on March 26 following a poor run of results but he has good European pedigree having also been in charge of Valencia, Juventus and Roma.
Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton is also understood to be a contender.
