Steven Reid out for "few weeks"

Roy Hodgson says that he expects Steven Reid to be sidelined for a "few weeks" after suffering an ankle ligament injury against Chelsea.

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that Steven Reid could be sidelined for a "few weeks" after picking up an ankle ligament injury at the weekend.

The 30-year-old right-back suffered the blow during the Baggies' 1-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday.

"We don't believe it is going to be a major injury and we will see what the scan shows," said Hodgson. "But experience of these things shows that all these ligament injuries take a few weeks."

Reid had an operation on his knee in December.
