Roy Hodgson has paid tribute to both West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters for the atmosphere that they generated at the Hawthorns this afternoon.
Hodgson's West Brom side won the Black Country derby 2-0 thanks to goals from Chris Brunt and Peter Odemwingie.
After the match, the Baggies manager was full of praise for all in attendance at the game.
"You could see how passionate both sets of fans were and it was a fiercely competitive game played in the right spirit," Hodgson told the club's official website. "The atmosphere was magnificent from the very first minute, it was electric.
"The Wolves fans contributed to that.
"There was obviously less of them but they worked their hardest to make their presence felt."
The victory has moved West Brom up to 12th in the Premier League table.
