Frings rejoins Bremen as coach
Torsten Frings joins Werder Bremen on a 24-month deal to complete his coaching badges.

Former German international Torsten Frings has announced his return to Werder Bremen in order to complete his coaching qualifications.

The 36-year-old, who retired from the game in February, spent 11 years of his playing career at the Weserstadion and rejoins as a trainee coach on a 24-month contract.

"I am delighted to be back at Werder and that the club and management are giving me this opportunity to further my career here," Sky Sports News quotes Frings as saying.

"I think it is particularly great that I will be able to work together with Viktor Skripnik. It is going to be a busy but above all exciting time for me."

Frings made 79 appearances for his country.
