Watford manager Gianfranco Zola targets DJ Campbell

Gianfranco Zola is reportedly trying to sign DJ Campbell from Queens Park Rangers in order to improve Watford's striking options.

Zola is confident of landing Campbell as the forward does want to leave the London area, according to The Mirror.

The manager is desperate to strengthen his squad and has been promised funds by new Italian owners the Pozzi family.

The 30-year-old made just two starts for QPR last season and is not understood to be part of Mark Hughes's plans for this season.
