Watford have officially confirmed the signing of Samuel Kalu from Bordeaux.
The winger has joined the club on a three-and-a-half-year deal, and he is now the fourth player the Premier League outfit have signed following Hassane Kamara, central defender Samir and midfielder Edo Kayembe.
Kalu typically plays on the right flank, but he is versatile enough to be moved around the forward positions, providing new manager Roy Hodgson with plenty of options.
The 24-year-old has made 11 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, finding the back of the net once in that period, while he does have experience playing in both the Europa League and the Champions League.
The fee is understood to be in the region of £3m, with the attacker having passed his medical earlier today in London before making the move official.
Kalu is set to wear the number 28 shirt for Watford, and he could be in line to make his debut on Saturday February 5 when they face Burnley in a crucial Premier League game.
