Watford sign Ecuadorian international Juan Carlos Paredes

Watford secure the signature of Ecuador international Juan Carlos Paredes on a five-year deal from Granada.

Defender Juan Carlos Paredes has left Granada to sign a long-term deal with Watford.

Paredes only completed a switch to the Spanish side earlier this summer, but the 27-year-old, who has penned a contract until 2019, has agreed to make the move to the Championship.

The Ecuadorian international, who operates at right-back, featured in all three matches for his country at the World Cup finals in Brazil last month.

The former Sporting Barcelona player becomes the seventh incoming at Vicarage Road this summer.
