Watford close to Rudy Gestede capture?

Newly-promoted Premier League side Watford are reportedly close to completing the signing of Rudy Gestede from Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede is reportedly on the verge of signing for Watford.

The newly-promoted Premier League Hornets are said to be keen to lessen the goalscoring burden on last season's leading scorer Troy Deeney.

Gestede, who scored 20 Championship goals for Rovers last term, is their number one target and a deal to take the frontman to Vicarage Road is close to completion, according to the Daily Mail.

It has been suggested that Watford will have to shell out £5m for the 26-year-old Benin international.
