Odion Ighalo signs new five-year contract at Watford

Watford striker Odion Ighalo signs a new five-year contract at Vicarage Road.

Watford striker Odion Ighalo has signed a new five-year contract at Vicarage Road.

The Nigerian has scored 21 goals in 42 appearances since joining the Hornets on a permanent deal from Udinese last year.

The 26-year-old, who found the back of the net 13 times in nine fixtures at the start of the year, has now committed himself to Watford until 2020.

Ighalo scored his first Premier League goal on the opening day of the season last month in a 2-2 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.

Watford have not scored a league goal in their last three top-flight fixtures.
