Watford 'yet to receive Marco Silva compensation from Everton'

Watford are said to have received no compensation from Everton following the Blues' appointment of Marco Silva as their new manager.

The Toffees were expected to pay a settlement fee to the Hornets after the latter club complained to the Premier League, alleging an illegal approach to their former head coach last November.

According to the Liverpool Echo, no money has changed hands between the two top-flight outfits despite Silva having been officially unveiled as Everton boss.

The Merseysiders originally pursued Silva following the dismissal of Ronald Koeman, but Watford rejected the approach and warned the Blues to back off.

The Portuguese manager won just one of his final 11 games at Watford before being sacked in January, with the club blaming Everton for their dip in form, accusing them of unsettling their head coach.
