Watford boss Marco Silva continues to remain silent over reports linking him with the vacant managerial position at Everton.

Watford boss Marco Silva has maintained that he does not want to discuss reports which continue to link him with the vacant managerial position at Everton.

Since sacking Ronald Koeman last month, Everton have been credited with an interest in a number of names, but their most recent focus has allegedly been on Silva and Watford are said to have rejected an approach for the Portuguese.

After Everton lost 4-1 to Southampton on Sunday, the Toffees are likely to speed up their search, but Silva has attempted to distance himself from any speculation regarding the Merseyside outfit.

The 40-year-old told reporters: "I work every day to improve. My focus is to do my best like this morning, tomorrow I will do the same and try to get a good result for Watford. I'm sure if I continue to keep doing my work then good things will come in the future."

I can't talk about this situation. I'm Watford manager. I don't even want to talk about the situation. What is most important for me is tomorrow's game [against Manchester United]."

Watford currently sit in eighth place in the standings after recording back-to-back wins over West Ham United and Newcastle United.
